Harpur College Dean Expresses Sympathy, Concern

Dean Mileur joined the University's administration and staff in encouraging students and employees to use the counseling and support resources enacted in the wake of Tuesday's tragedy.

He said, "I feel what everyone else feels: shock, grief, anger and resolve. I am very proud of the way our students have handled themselves under the most trying circumstances and I know that the entire Harpur family joins together in hope for the missing and injured and to offer our profoundest sympathy to family and friends of the dead."

The thoughts and prayers of the Harpur College Dean's staff are with our alumni and friends who have been affected by this tragedy.

Students React to the News

B.U. students, faculty, and staff responded to Tuesday's tragedy with enormous courage, sympathy, and unity. The outpouring of concern for those affected by the tremendous loss of life speaks for itself.

Students waited in long lines to donate blood. Read more about our blood drive here.

The Chinese-American Student Union gave out yellow ribbons and accepted donations for the Red Cross.
